Money Can't Buy Me Love

This is from the Citizens Against Government Waste website. It only takes a couple of minutes to help stop the massive government spending spree that will only pile additional debt on future generations of Americans. Pelosi and her gang in the House of Representatives have already passed a massive so-called "economic stimulus" bill and the Senate version is even worse. Tell your U.S. Senators that you oppose this huge fraud by visiting the Council for Citizens Against Government Waste's web site, www.ccagw.org, to send a letter today.

Just DO this! Click here.

Daniel, snowman and Margie

Over the Christmas Break, we went to Keystone to go snow-skiing. Here is some living proof that even though I've been in Florida for 32 years, I can still build a snowman!! (With Daniel's help of course) Not bad for a Florida boy!!

Get Ready

The big Ravens-Steelers rematch is tomorrow nite and we are ready! This means wearing purple all week, accumulating lots of food, and tweaking the TV.

Most of you have only recently been introduced to Digital TV...thanx to all those annoying ads about what may happen if you don't buy a converter, which are really suggestions that you should buy expensive cable or fiber optic service. Tom and I, on the other hand, have been playing around with it for a couple of years. With the help of a special antenna and a couple of amplifiers we have great "seats".

(Yes, some of the equipment is in the laundry room, Rose has always been a good sport about this stuff.)

Everybody hereabouts agrees that these are the two best teams in the NFL, so this is practically our Super Bowl. Go Ravens!

Baby, It's Cold Outside!

The wind chill is -2 here this morning!

I'll spare you my standard "Al Gore rant", but I am hoping that we can soon put an end to all the global warming nonsense.

Here is one of dozens of great editorials from Investor's Business Daily on the subject.

Meanwhile, the New York morning shows are gushing over what they must think is the perfect story. They love to relive 9-11...and yesterday's plane crash into the Hudson River was a great sequel...with no loss of life and no bad guys.

If this had happened anywhere else in the country they would be screaming for new measures to protect Canada Geese from those nasty airliners. Why, look what we're doing to the poor things right here in Maryland.

Help!

Does anybody know what this is? It IS Tupperware....but, what is its purpose?

I have four of these things....probably bought them at a yard sale.
Dimensions: 3-1/4 long, 1-inch square opening at the top, tapers a little at the bottom. What would YOU use it for?

New York, New York

Beth and I are headed to New York today. This is a genealogy/history research trip. We plan to visit Ellis Island and hopefully walk across the Brooklyn Bridge.

Teresa is meeting us...well, actually we are throwing ourselves at her, needing some serious guidance on how to get around!

Here's a few pictures.
